5 Slices Turkey bacon
1 Pound lean ground turkey ( I used 93% lean)
1/2 diced white onion
1 clove minced garlic
4 Tablespoons BBQ sauce ( I used Cookies Original)
1/4 teaspoon cayenne
Buns
Pepper jack or provolone cheese
These burgers are simple and delicious packed with flavor and not too bad for you either. I love making these in the summer they are a perfect way to cut out some red meat for turkey.
Tip: I let the burgers set in the fridge for a few minutes to set the flavors before throwing them on the grill.
Instructions:
Cook turkey bacon, once cooked let cool for a few minutes then chop and set aside. In a medium bowl mix together the ground turkey, chopped turkey bacon, bbq sauce, onion, garlic, cayenne, salt and pepper. Divide and shape into four patties. Heat Grill to medium heat. Once there put burgers on grill 5-8 minutes on each side or when the internal temp is 165. When you have around a minute left put the cheese on the burgers and remove when melted. Plate and Enjoy.
